Don’t call it a union: Nice to see the Mitchell + Palmer-produced (and yours truly-written) video for the Idaho Education Association, a professional organization that’s been supporting the Gem State’s teachers for over a century.

Is “hob” a word?: Still licking my wounds after only making it to the second round of the annual MFA Boggle Tournament. 

Suggestions for the next time you’re stuck in SeaTac for two or more hours: First and foremost, the Sub Pop store. Seriously, how effing cool is it to have a convenient retail location from the label that brought the world Nirvana, Fleet Foxes, Iron & Wine, Sunny Day Real Estate, and (local plug) Built to Spill? Secondarily, and if you haven’t already spent all your holiday cash on White Stripes vinyl, stop by a little shop called Fireworks, which is packed to the rafters with about 17,000 gift ideas.

Speaking of which, kicking myself over: Totally spacing it as Spoon, a top five band for me, swung through Boise on their most recent tour. Argh.
